Essie's Neon Collection

Hello everyone! For today's vibrant Friday I decided to do things a little bit differently. Instead of featuring one bright nail polish color, I decided to feature an entire collection. I had heard of Essie nail polish before but had never actually tried it. So I went out and bought some and tested it out. Essie is one of the top brands of nail polish so when I went to Target and picked one up and saw it was $8 for one bottle, I died a little inside. I don't like spending money in general but $8 for a bottle of nail polish is a little ridiculous in my opinion. Regardless, I bought it just so that I could try it and talk about it. Now, I know that some of you have heard the saying,

"You get what you pay for."

Well it is 100% true. Sinful colors is approximately $2 per bottle but Essie is $8. Compare the two and we find that Sinful colors chips easier, needs more coats, and is closer to the consistency of water. Essie has one coat coverage, doesn't chip, and is thicker than most nail polishes. So, you truly do get what you paid for. I like Essie a lot, I just wish it was cheaper.

The collection of colors I chose is made by Essie. I have chosen two of these colors to expand on. The first is called "Bouncer, it's me!" (#3013). It is a solid, bright blue. I went with this color because blue is one of my favorite colors and it's the perfect blue. It's perfect for a night out with friends and a cute outfit that will really make your nails pop.

The second color I want to feature is called "DJ play that song!" (#3011). It is a bright mix between pink and purple. It's close to a fuchsia color but it looks radioactive when it's on your nails. All of the Essie neon colors seem to glow when you finish painting them. It really gets peoples attention. You can find Essie nail polish almost everywhere. But below I posted a link to Amazon where you can find great nail polish for better prices. Like the quote states you really do get exactly what you pay for. Kleancolor is still my favorite brand because it offers everything Essie offers and it's almost $5 cheaper. So ultimately it's up to you. In my opinion, Essie vs Kleancolor, Kleancolor will always win.
